Wendy Silva

Wendy Silva is a “California Girl”. She was born in San Diego, California, migrated north to Danville, California, and then ultimately settled in Los Angeles after college. She graduated from the University of Southern California with an emphasis in Real Estate Finance in 1992. She then started her career in commercial real estate working with brokerage firms, asset management companies, REITs and other institutional investors.

In 2002, she chose to make a directional change in her career path to be a Mortgage Broker. In this capacity, she has been able to apply her knowledge and experience to advise her clients on how to make the most of their real estate financing decisions. She enjoys the opportunity to provide a service that is thoughtful and honest and in her client’s best interest. She joined Great American Financial in 2009. Outside of helping others with their real estate financial needs, she and her husband also invest in real estate and love the process of rehabilitating old homes. It is a passion of theirs both for the investment and aesthetic purposes. They have built a home from the ground up together and have rehabbed numerous others. They also have extensive landlord experience. She is always excited to share her insight and knowledge.

Wendy and Gabriel married in 2006 and have two children, Elias (9) and Esther (6). She loves the outdoors, enjoys hiking with her family and dogs, and the beauty of the California native landscape. She actively implements native landscapes into her homes. She is a Den Leader for Cub Scout Troop 13 and actively volunteers in her community. Wendy loves to cook and gather with friends in their Altadena home and to escape to the local Big Bear Mountains where her family has a cabin.
