Tom Moon

Tom Moon graduated at Cal State Univ. Northridge in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics, with an emphasis in Real Estate Finance. After graduation, Tom began work as a Stock Broker assistant at Shearson Lehman Brothers / American Express. He quickly learned the inner workings of the National and World Equity and Bond market.

In 1990, as the Southern California real estate market was at the beginning of a recession, Tom left Shearson Lehman Brothers and started a new career with North Atlantic Mutual Mortgage as a licensed mortgage broker. He quickly rose to become a top producer in the Real Estate lending industry.

In 1991, Tom was a founding partner of Great American Financial Services in Newhall, CA. He later relocated to Calabasas, CA. to start a local branch for Great American Financial and has been originating loans as Vice President for the past 28 years. Tom is dedicated to creating the ideal match – securing a lending program those best suit a client’s specific needs. His loyal relationships and longstanding track record with brokers make her a trusted source for their clients. In addition to his background in various areas within the real estate lending field, Tom has been an active real estate investor since 1998, with real estate assets including apartments, medical office and retail properties in California, Nevada, and Oregon.

Tom is fluent in 3 languages (English, Korean and Spanish) Tom has been married to his wife Lisa for 25 years and has 3 daughters, ages 21, 19 and 15. Outside of work, Tom is also a Board of Director at Heritage Christian School from 2008 to present. His other interests include Road Cycling where he created Shepherd Road Cycling Club in 2009 where he enjoyed teaching people how to get into the sport of cycling. He also likes to Snow Ski, Travels by family and friends, Road and Mountain Biking, and also considers himself a self-proclaimed Foodie!
